Product Overview

The SDI to HDMI Converter with SDI Loop Out is a compact video interface device that converts professional SDI signals (SD‑SDI/HD‑SDI/3G‑SDI) to HDMI while also providing an SDI loop output for monitoring or daisy‑chaining. It supports a wide range of resolutions up to full HD 1080p at 60 Hz, making it suitable for cameras, switchers, and other broadcast equipment feeding standard HDMI displays or projectors.

Physical Design

The converter usesa metalhousing (often iron or aluminum), which helps with durability and heat dissipation in professional environments. It is compact and lightweight (around a few hundred grams, with dimensions close to 100–110 mm on the longest side), so it can be easily mounted near cameras, racks, or behind monitors without taking much space.

Power and Working Conditions

Theconverter is powered by a DC 5 V / 1 A adapter and is designed to work with a wide input voltage range from 5 V to 36 V, giving flexibility with different power sources in studio or field setups. Its specified operating temperature range is approximately 0–60 °C, allowing reliable operation in typical indoor and many controlled outdoor environments.

Video Input and Output Support

On the SDI side, the unitaccepts SD,HD, and 3GSDIformats, covering resolutions such as 480i/576i, 720p at common frame rates, and 1080i/1080p at multiple frame rates including up to 60 Hz. The HDMI output is available in HD formats like 720p and 1080p at up to 60 Hz, so the connected monitor or TV can display clean, full‑HD video converted from the SDI source.

Future‑oriented Features

Supports 3GSDI, allowing usewith many current HD broadcast workflows and cameras. Wide power input range makes it suitable for battery‑powered field use and varied studio power systems. SDI loop out simplifies expansion to additional monitors or recorders without needing extra distribution equipment.
